WORKSHOPS
Up till now ISOMUL has organized seven
international symposia. Three symposia were organized in The Netherlands
in 1982, 1992, 2000, 2004 and 2006, one in Japan (1996) and two in the USA (1998
and 2002).
From
May 17-19 2006, the 9th Inter-Regional Conference on
Environment-Water ENVIROWATER2006 Concepts
for Water management and Multifunctional Land-Uses
in Lowlands has
been held in Delft the Netherlands, under the patronage of CIGR section
1 and ISOMUL.

proceedings of this workshop are published as a booklet, edited by
W.G.M. van der Knaap and G.J. Carsjens.. The booklet
contains the full papers of the keynotes and the abstracts of the paper and poster presentations. The

planning "Multiple landscape: Merging past and present in
landscape planning" has been held in Wageningen, The
Netherlands.

In 2002 the Fourth international workshop on sustainable land use planning
"Collaborative Planning for the Metropolitan Landscape"
was held in Bellingham, Washington State, U.S.A.
In 2000 the
Third International Workshop on Sustainable Land Use Planning
"Fragmentation and Land Use Planning; Analysis and Beyond"
was held in Wageningen, The Netherlands. All scientific papers of the
conference were published in the proceedings booklet, edited by G.J.
Carsjens.
A selected number of papers were published in
Landscape
and Urban Planning 58, 2002. Special editors: H.N. van Lier and
G.J. Carsjens.
