From May 12-14, 2010, the international
conference Landscape Legacy: Landscape Architecture and Planning:
Between Art and Science has been held in Maastricht, the
Netherlands. The conference was a joint event with the Council of
Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA), USA.

On October 9 and 10, 2009, the first
AESOP sustainable food planning conference has been held in
Almere, the Netherlands. This conference, under auspices of the
Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP), was organized
by AESOP, ISOMUL and the Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

December 2006 the book Multiple Landscape: Merging past and
present has been published, edited by W.G.M. van der Knaap and
A. van der Valk. This book on archaeological and
historical-geographical issues in environmental planning includes a
selected number of revised and updated papers of the fifth
international workshop on sustainable land use planning "Multiple
landscape: Merging past and present in landscape planning" that was
held in Wageningen, The Netherlands in 2004 (see below).

In 2006, the 9th Inter-Regional Conference on
Environment-Water ENVIROWATER2006 Concepts
for Water management and Multifunctional Land-Uses
in Lowlands has
been held in Delft the Netherlands, under the patronage of CIGR section
1 and ISOMUL.
The
proceedings of this workshop are published as a booklet, edited by
W.G.M. van der Knaap and G.J. Carsjens.. The booklet
contains the full papers of the keynotes and the abstracts of the paper and poster presentations. The
full text of all papers is provided on a CD-ROM included with the
booklet. The

In
2004, the Fifth international workshop on sustainable land use
planning "Multiple landscape: Merging past and present in
landscape planning" has been held in Wageningen, The

proceedings of this workshop were published as a booklet, edited by
I. de Boer, G.J. Carsjens and A. van der Valk. The booklet
contains the abstracts of all paper and poster presentations. The
full text of all papers is provided on a CD-ROM included with the
booklet. The CD-ROM also includes the PowerPoint slides of most
workshop presentations.

In 2000 the
Third International Workshop on Sustainable Land Use Planning
"Fragmentation and Land Use Planning; Analysis and Beyond"
was held in Wageningen, The Netherlands. All scientific papers of the
conference were published in the proceedings booklet, edited by G.J.
Carsjens.
A selected number of papers were published in
the international scientific journal
Landscape
and Urban Planning 58, 2002. Special editors: H.N. van Lier and
G.J. Carsjens.
